Religious Studies awards a Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree to students who declare the major upon fulfillment of the major requirements. Students may earn honors in the major by completing additional work.

Undergraduate Certificate
Students interested in obtaining a credential in Religious Studies without earning a baccalaureate degree may declare the certificate and complete the certificate requirements. Please note that the 90-credit requirement has been dropped; students may now declare the certificate at any time.

Ph.D. Minor
Ph.D. candidates in other fields may receive an Option A Minor in Religious Studies.

Special Committee Graduate Degrees
Religious Studies does NOT award either an M.A. or a Ph.D. Graduate students admitted to other degree-granting departments may, however, be able to earn a Special Committee Graduate Degree.

Collaborative Program with Edgewood College
Students at UW-Madison may take courses in the Religious Studies Department at Edgewood College through a collaborative program between the two schools.
